KEVIN RICHARDSON, SPORTS AND RADIO BROADCASTER
MY BIO
As Inside Linebacker at Stanford University from 1984-1988 I had 289 career tackles, started for 25 games as Defensive Signal Caller, and was Long Snapper for 45 games straight. While at Stanford I played in the 1986 Gator Bowl and the 1989 Japan Bowl All Star Game. At Shafter High School I was a 3-sport athlete earning 11 Varsity Letters (3 football, 4 basketball, 4 track) and 1984 All American Discus Thrower with the #2 throw in the country at 197 feet 6 inches.

20 years ago I bought my own gear and developed a high school football radio broadcast that was quickly picked up at a 10,000 watt station. I created and produced a 30 minute pregame, halftime show and 15 minute postgame wrap. I also developed a comprehensive social media strategy for the team, using my radio content and video footage to create immensely popular social media content that was widely shared by the community. I chose to pursue broadcasting professionally in 2009 partnering with San Jose State University as their Color Analyst, and in 2023 decided to take on Play-by-Play with the departure of my longtime broadcasting partner. During this period I have also broadcast for other schools, events and volunteered my talents in the local community.
